When a person eligible for SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) uses his or her SNAP Bridge Card to shop for food at a farmers' market, the amount of money that he or she spends is matched with Double Up Food Bucks bonus tokens.
Double Up Food Bucks Program
The Double Up Food Bucks Program begins on Saturday, August 14 Its goal is to provide low-income families more access to nutritious food and encourage them to eat healthier.
Eligible Bridge Card users could receive up to $20 in Double Up Food Buck tokens that can be redeemed for Michigan-grown fruits and vegetables.

The following markets will be participating in the program through October:
Detroit Eastern Market
Hours: Saturdays from 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Northwest Detroit Farmers Market
Hours: Wednesdays from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
East Warren Avenue Farmers Market
Hours: Thursdays from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
In addition, the Peaches and Green Mobile Food Truck will be participating in the program through December.
